We are currently seeking a Part Time Program Facilitator. The position is extremely part time, and part of a pilot program with Chicago Public Libraries. The part time program facilitator will spend 6-12 hours a month facilitating a GIANT games program in three Chicago Public Libraries (Portage-Cragin, Back of the Yards, and Chicago Lawn) during October, November, December and January at which time the pilot program will be evaluated. The Program Coordinator will be supervised by the executive director of the David L. Hoyt Education Foundation and will be trained in guiding game play of our GIANT games using four cornerstones of Social Emotional Learning: Teamwork, Decision Making, Leadership, and Critical Thinking. After 10 hours of training, the program coordinator will begin to run monthly or twice a month programming in the 3 libraries mentioned above. The program will consist of 90 minutes of guided play for young library patrons, and in some cases their families. The total hours for this position are 12 hours per month, after training. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle. Candidates will also need to go through Chicago Public Library's finger-printing and background check processes.
