After four days of painting in Douglas Park, the installation of Word Play Way featuring Aniyah Orr-Howard's poem is finally complete!  We would like to thank all of our volunteers and Douglas Park staff for their help with our project.  We are very excited to be bringing more play-based literacy activities to the North Lawndale area.

There will be a free, family-friendly community event to dedicate World Play Way on Saturday, July 27th from 1pm-4pm at the Douglas Park playground. Click here for further event details.

If you have any questions about the project or would like to schedule an onsite visit to learn more, please reach out to us by emailing info@davidlhoytfoundation.org.

anks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
