Hello! I’m Krista, the latest addition to the David L. Hoyt Education Foundation team. I recently began my senior year at Loyola University Chicago, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in international studies.

Prior to joining the David L. Hoyt Foundation as the marketing intern, I worked at an international social action platform, two New York City-based public relations agencies and the School of Communication Dean’s office.

I am eager to learn more about the operations and management of a growing nonprofit organization, and the best practices for success. I’m dedicated to making the world a better place through strategic communication and storytelling, and am excited to put what I’ve learned into practice at the David L. Hoyt Foundation.

FAQ

What is your go-to karaoke song?
Hands down, “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
That’s easy — teleportation.

What drew you to the David L. Hoyt Foundation?
I have been passionate about social change for a long time now, and I think education is a critical component of creating change. I am completely aligned with the David L. Hoyt Foundation’s mission is to facilitate learning through interactive games and am looking forward to helping advance this mission during my time here.

If you could have dinner with one person, who would it be and why?
Aaron Sorkin. He does it all — screenwriting, playwriting, directing and producing — and I never cease to be amazed by his ability to write captivating stories. Plus “The Newsroom” and “The West Wing” are two of my all-time favorites.

What is one “fun fact” about you?
I’m a triplet! I have a brother and a sister who are both in school in Ohio.
