The David L Hoyt Education Foundation stands in solidarity with Black Americans in rejecting systemic racism. The recent killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery have called us all into action. We support the non-violent protests that have taken place across our country as a tool to bring awareness and action to the oppression, violence, and abuse Black Americans feel every day.

Our mission is to support and encourage joyful learning, and we believe that equal access to quality education is imperative in breaking down the walls of systemic racism. We are taking actions to promote and support the work of those with boots on the ground in our network, and finding ways to directly support the Black Communities in which we work.

We pledge to be your ally. We pledge to continue our work with an intentionally anti-racist goal. We pledge to continue to work toward a more equitable future for marginalized Black Communities.

We are here. We are listening. We are learning. We support you.

Co-founder and Executive Director

s for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal expeede rience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
